    When & Where

  • The Tasmanian Wine Festival is held at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart, Tasmania.

    Access to the event is via the main gates on Lower Domain Road. There is no entry or parking at the bottom carpark on the Domain Highway.

  • The Tasmanian Wine Festival is held annually in summer. The event is returning on Feb 7 & 8, 2026.

    The event has three sessions to choose from:

    • Saturday Afternoon - 12.00pm - 4.00pm
    • Saturday Evening - 5.30pm - 10.00pm
    • Sunday Afternoon - 12.00pm - 5.00pm

  • Entry to the event is through the Main Gates of the Botanical Gardens only, which is located on Lower Domain Road.

    There is limited parking available on Lower Domain Road (near the Main Entrance of the Botanical Gardens), as well as a few car parks surrounding the Gardens. We encourage patrons to get dropped off or use public transportation including Taxis and rideshare vehicles.

    The bottom carpark on the Domain Highway is closed off for the public. There is no parking or entry via this gate.

  • Tickets

  • Pre Sale Tickets are on sale from Mon 13 Oct 9.00am AEDT

    General Public Tickets are on sale from Wed 15 Oct 9.00am AEDT

    Pre Sale tickets can be accessed by signing up prior to the Pre Sale open time. Members will receive an email with their access link

  • Tickets can be purchased online through Oztix, our authorised ticket provider.

    Tickets should only purchased through the authorised ticket provider. Tickets brought from any other platform cannot be guaranteed as legitimate.

    Patrons with fraudulent tickets will not be admitted.

  • If there are unsold tickets, these will be available for purchase from the gate.

    At previous editions, multiple sessions sold out prior to the event, so pre-purchasing tickets is highly recommended.

    Tickets at the gate are sold at a premium.

  • The Tasmanian Wine Festival strives to be a fully inclusive and accessible event, however there are some limitations due to the nature of the venue we operate in.

  • The Tasmanian Wine Festival operates sessions that are both Licensed All Ages and 18+.

    • The Saturday Afternoon Session is Licensed All Ages
    • The Saturday Evening Session is 18+
    • The Sunday Session is Licensed All Ages


    Patrons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian above the age of 25.

    Children aged between 5-17 years must hold a ticket to gain entry. Under 5s do not require a ticket.

  • Yes. The Tasmanian Wine Festival accepts valid Companion Cards. Companion Card holders are required to contact the festival prior to the event: info@taswinefest.com.au

    Companions must arrive with the ticket holder they are with.

  • The Event

  • What can you bring:
    • Low lying chairs - for use at the rear of the stage viewing area only. Festival staff may request chairs be moved if they impede the view of others
    • Empty Reuseable Water Bottles. There are free water refill stations available
    • Sun screen, a hat and warm clothing for the evening

    What can't you bring:
    • Food & Alcohol. This is a strictly no BYO event
    • Animals, with the exception of assistance animals
    • Glassware. All ticket holders receive a tumbler on entry
    • Weapons, fireworks or illicit substances
    • Professional film equipment
    • Speakers
    • Marketing materials of any kind

  • Most vineyards at the Tasmanian Wine Festival offer wine tastings to patrons. Tastings can be redeemed by purchasing Tasting Tokens that are available on the day, or included with certain ticket types.

    There are no free tastings at the Tasmanian Wine Festival

  • The Tasmanian Wine Festival has a wide variety of beverages available from craft beers,ciders, spirits and summer cocktails. This is in addition to a wide range of non alcoholic options.

  • Everything Else

  • The Tasmanian Wine Festival is a proud supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities. The festival is donating $1.00 from every ticket sold to Ronald McDonald House Hobart.

    Ticket purchasers can also go into the draw to win at-event upgrades for dontaing during the ticket purchase process.

    Ticket buyers who donate $5.00 during checkout go into the draw to win

    • A Reserved Table with seating for six people
    • Six bottles of Tasmanian Wine delievered post event


    Ticket buyers who donate $2.00 during checkout go into the draw to win
    • Half Dozen Oysters at the event
    • Three bottles of Tasmanian Wine delievered post event


    To enter this competition, all entrants must hold a valid ticket to the 2026 Tasmanian Wine Festival, have had donated through the festival's ticket purchase process and be above the age of 18.
