Where is the event?
The Tasmanian Wine Festival is held at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart, Tasmania.
Access to the event is via the main gates on Lower Domain Road. There is no entry or parking at the bottom carpark on the Domain Highway. -
When is the event?
The Tasmanian Wine Festival is held annually in summer. The 2025 edition will come to the Botanical Gardens, Hobart on Feb 8 & 9.

How do I get there?
Entry to the event is through the Main Gates of the Botanical Gardens only, which is located on Lower Doamin Road.
There is limited parking available on Lower Domain Road (near the Main Entrance of the Botanical Gardens), as well as a few car parks surrounding the Gardens. We encourage patrons to get dropped off or use public transportation including Taxis and rideshare vehicles.
The bottom carpark on the Domain Highway is closed off for the public. There is no parking or entry via this gate. -

How much does it cost?
The Tasmanian Wine Festival is a ticketed event. Early Bird tickets start at $23. More pricing information is available here

How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased through Oztix, our authorised ticket agency.
Tickets should only purchased through the authorised ticket provider. Tickets brought from any other platform cannot be guaranteed as legitimate.
Patrons with fraudulent tickets will not be admitted. -
Can I purchase tickets on the door?
If there are still tickets available, these will be available for purchase.
At previous editions, multiple sessions sold out prior to the event, so pre-purchasing tickets is highly recommended.
Tickets on the door are sold at a premium. -

Do you accept companion cards?
Yes! The Tasmanian Wine Festival accepts valid Companion Cards. Companion card holders are required to contact the festival prior to the event: info@taswinefest.com.au
Companions must arrive with the ticket holder they are with. -

Purchasing a Tasting Ticket brings the benefits of a General Admission ticket, along with Tasting Tokens. -
What can/can't I bring?
What can you bring:
• Picnic Rugs
• Low lying chairs - for use at the rear of the stage viewing area only. Festival staff may request chairs be moved if they impede the view of others
• Empty reusable water bottles. There are free water refill stations available
• Sun screen, a hat, and a warm sweater/jumper for the evenings
What can't you bring:
• Food & Alcohol. This is a strictly no BYO event.
• Animals, with the exception of assistance animals
• Glassware. All ticket holders receive a tumbler on entry
• Weapons, fireworks, illicit substances, pets
• Professional film equipment
• Marketing materials of any kind

What wines will be available?
The Tasmanian Wine Festival has a wide range reds, whites and sparklings from all around the state at the event, including both Tasmanian staples and varietals you may not know of. Check out all of our vendors here
In addition to some great Tassie wines, a range of summer cocktails, craft beers, cider, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. -
Is this an all ages event?
The Saturday Afternoon and Sunday sessions are Licensed All Ages, all other sessions are 18+.
Patrons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian above the age of 25.
Children aged between 5-17 years must hold a ticket to gain entry. Under 5s are free and do not require a ticket.
Ticket holders under the age of 18 cannot purchase a Tasting or VIP ticket. -
Is there food available?
Yes. We have a beautiful range of food available, also including vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options. See the feasting line-up here

Are there beverages available other than wine?
We have a wide variety of beverages available from craft beers,ciders, spirits and summer cocktails. This is in addition to a wide range of non alcoholic drinks.

Are there tastings?
Most vineyards at the Tasmanian Wine Festival offer tastings to patrons. Tastings can be redeemed by purchasing Tasting Tokens that are available on the day, or included with a Tasting Ticket or VIP Ticket.

Are there free tastings?
No. Vendors at the Tasmanian Wine Festival do not offer free tastings.
Tasting Tokens are available with either a Tasting or VIP Ticket, or can be purchased at the event.

How do I become a vendor?
Tasmanian vineyards and food producers are encouraged to fill out an Expression of Interest form

Photography
Patrons should be aware that photography and videography takes place at this event. Recorded imagery may be used for marketing and promotional purposes.
